Notes - In some reference materials on the WINSTON family, there is some disgreement on which Anthony WINSTON died c 1718 and which one died in 1725. The Anthony who died between 1717-1719 left orphans. This fits as William I's son, born before 1680, at a marrying age of +21 in 1701 when he owned land, and about 40 or more when he died. It is assumed that he married circa 1700. Therefore, the Anthony who died in Dec 1725, "a young man", fits as Anthony Sr.'s son, Anthony Jr., who would have been born circa 1702 and died at about age 23 in 1725. If Anthony Jr. had died circa 1718, as some have written, he would have been about 16 years old and most likely would not have left orphans. Also on 6 Mar 1734, Isaac WINSTON, Jr. (born circa 1700) sold 100 acres in Hanover County that he inherited from his father, Anthony WINSTON, per his father's will dated 1717. His father could not have been the Anthony born abount the same time as Isaac. - W. Winston COCHRANE IV, 2013 [3, 7, 8, 9]
