    • Joseph and Jane LOONEY resided in Augusta County, Colony of Virginia, GB, which became Botetourt County in 1770. Records indicate they had the following land ownerships:

      - On 20 Nov 1764 Robert LOONEY deeded to son Joseph, for £20, 160 acres at Sinking Spring on west side of James River. On 13 Aug 1771, Joseph and Jane deeded this land to Conrad WALL.
      - On 14 Jul 1769 Joseph patented 60 acres  in Augusta County on south side of James adjoining his former survey. On 11 Feb 1773, Joseph and Jane deeded this land to James GILMER.
      - On 20 Jun 1772 Joseph patented 85 acres on Stone Run of Craig's Creek in Botetourt County.
