Notes - (Research):Thomas Bobby Sr.'s 3 land deeds were recorded in James City County, locating the land west of the Chickahominy River, which is in Charles City County. The river is the dividing line. Both original counties were formed in 1634. In Balfour's 1778 case, it referrs to Bobby's land at "Church Point" or "Balfour's Neck", in Charles City County.
