He built the Assasquin plantation house soon after on this property. The house burned about 1740 and was not replaced. He was also granted 277 acres on the south side of the York River [its tributary the Pamunkey River] at the mouth of a small branch where it meets the main branch of Asseskuin [Assasquin] Run and on the south side of that main branch.
