1809 - Caldwell County formed from a portion of Livingston County.

1821 - Hickham County formed from portions of Livingston County and Caldwell County.

1823 - Calloway County formed from portions of Livingston County and Caldwell County.

1824 - Graves County formed from portions of Livingston County and Caldwell County.

1825 - McCracken County formed from a portion of Livingston County.

1838 - Livingston County received land from Caldwell County.

1842 - Crittenden County formed from a portion of Livingston County.

1848 - Livingston County received land from Crittenden County, creating Livingston County's present day boundries.
