1849 - Scott County was formed from portions of Anderson County, Campbell County, Fentress County and Morgan County, in Tennessee, USA.

1850-1860 - Scott County received land from Morgan County, Anderson County and Campbell County. Also, Campbell County received land from Scott County.

1879 - Scott County received land from Fentress County.

1910-1930 - Morgan County received land from Scott County, creating Scott County's present day boundries.
