1819 - The Territory of Arkansas, present day Arkansas and most of Oklahoma, was organized from the Missouri Territory.

1833 - Greene County was formed from a portion of Lawrence County, Territory of Arkansas, USA.

1836 - On 15 June, Arkansas became the 25th state in the United States of America.

1873 - Clayton County was formed from portions of Greene County and Randolph County.

1885 - Clayton County received land from Greene County, creating Greene County's present day boundries.
