1695 - Gloucester Township was formed in Gloucester County, West Jersey Province, England.
1707 - On 17 April, East and West Jersey were combined into a royal colony, the Province of New Jersey. On 1 May, England became a part of Great Britain.
1777 - On 2 July, New Jersey became an independent state when they created a state constitution.
1776 - On 4 July, the Declaration of Independence of the 13 colonies as the United States of America, was adopted by the Second Continental Congress.
1778 - On 19 November, New Jersey was the 11th state to ratify the Articles of Confederation of the United States of America.
1787 - On 18 December, New Jersey became the 3rd state to ratify the Constitution of the United States of America.
1844 - Camden County was formed from a portion of Gloucester County, and included Gloucester Township.
1903 - Clementon Township was formed from a portion of Gloucester Township.
1925 - The Borough of Clementon was created from a portion of Clementon Township.
1941 - Clementon Township was disolved into the Borough of Laurel Springs.
