1819 - The Territory of Arkansas, present day Arkansas and most of Oklahoma, was organized from the Missouri Territory, USA..

1820 - Crawford County was formed from a portion of Pulaski County in the Territory of Arkansas.

1827 - Lovely County formed from a portion of Crawford County.

1828 - The western boundry of the Territory of Arkansas, also the western border of Crawford, was established. Also, Crawford County received land from the Cherokee Tract on it's northeast border.

1829 - Pope County formed from a portion of Crawford County.

1833 - Scott County formed from portions of Crawford County and Pope County.

1836 - On 15 June, Arkansas became the 25th state in the United States of America.

1837 - Franklin County formed from portions of Crawford County and Johnson County.

1851 - Sebastian County formed from portions of Crawford County and Scott County.

1870-1880 - Crawford County received land from Franklin County.

1895 - Crawford County received land from Franklin County, creating Crawford County's present day boundries.
