      "In the name of God amen, I George Wolfe Senior, of the State of Tennessee and County of Hawkins, being very sick and weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God, calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of all mighty God that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christain burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting, but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God, and as touching such worldly Estate where with it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give, demise and dispose of the same in following manner. First as I have already given to my two sons, Valentine and John Wolfe, as much of my real and personal Estate as I intend for them, I dispose of the remainder as follows: I give and bequeath to my two other sons, George and Nicholas Wolfe, one hundered acres of land to each, joining John Mills, Hiram Mills, Hiram Tucker, John Wolfe and Valentine Wolfe lines, and it is my request if my two sons, George and Nicholas Wolfe, cannot agree in the division of their land between themselves, they are to get a jury of disinterested men to divide it eaquel [sp] for them and I do further will that myself and my wife Polly are to keep possession of the land for our mentainence [sp] during our natural lifetimes. I further give and bequeath unto my four daughters that are at home with me, Barbara, Polly, Margaret and Ally Wolfe, to each of them one house built to be worth fifty dollars each and to each of said daughters ten dollars in money when they leave home or marry. I further will that my wife, Polly Wolfe, if I shall die before her, is to keep possession of my negro boy named Bob to work for her mentainance [sp] during her natural life and at her decease, the said negro boy Bob is to be sold and the money for his purchase is to be divided equally amoung all my Daughters, Hannah, Katharine, Elizabeth, Barbara, Sarah, Polly, Susannah, Margaret and Ally, to have eaquel [sp] with the others, and I also give to my daughters, Hannah, Katharine, Elizabeth, Barbara, Polly, Sarah, Susannah, Margaret, Ally, all of my land from the top of the Copper Ridge running with the top of said ridge, an east and west direction, north of said ridge bounded by Valentine Wolfe's, Ausbin Coffey's, David Wilder's lines, to be equally divided amoung all the above named girls, and all the land belonging to me south of the Copper Ridge I give to my two sons, George and Nicholas Wolfe, to be equally divided between them, and all my household and kitchen furniture is to be at the disposal of my wife, Polly Wolfe, at her decease. I also give all my money to my wife Poll, and at her decease be at her disposal. I also constitute, ordain and appoint my wife, Polly Wolfe, my sole Executrise [sp] of this my last will and testament, and I do here by utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other will and testament by me, hereto for confirming this only to be my last will and testament, in witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seal this fifteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred thirty seven."
