  • Notes  Wedding:
    • The following announcement was in The Atchison Daily Globe:

"A pretty, old fashion wedding occurred at the home of Marion Andrews, near Sugar Lake, last night when his niece, Miss Amy St. John, of Mound City, was married to W. W. Cochrane, city salesman for the McPike Drug Co. At 7:15, the bridal couple walked out under the trees in front of the house, where in the presence of relatives and friends, the Rev. J. H. Comer, of the Baptist church of Atchison, performed the marriage ceremony.

"The bride wore a pretty white wedding dress. After the ceremony, a super was given to the guests, such as only Missourians can cook: fried chicken, ham, hot biscuits, cake, pies and ice cream. Long tables were spread in the house and most of the guests sat down at the same time. The bride's father is not living. Her mother, Mrs. Van Winkle, of Mound City, and a number of her girl friends from there attended the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Cochrane returned from the Andrews home this morning and will reside in the Cochrane home on North Third Street."
